National Data Management Office
The National Data Management Office consists of 9 divisions. The Office coordinates government-wide statistics & data, supports link & cooperation among national, public and private sector data, plans, operates & supports the National Statistics Committee, plans & produces statistics by using big data, preserves, manages & provides microdata, coordinates matters related to the establishment and standardization of AI-friendly statistical metadata, promotes the provision and use of public data of the Ministry of Data and Statistics, coordinates the planning and implementation for promoting data-based administration, plans & coordinates the use of administrative data, coordinates the linkage and use of the statistical register, and plans & develops administrative data-based statistics.

The Deputy Director General for National Data Planning and Cooperation is made up of 5 divisions. This Deputy Director General coordinates government-wide statistics & data, supports link & cooperation among national, public and private sector data, coordinates the planning, operation & support of the National Statistics Committee, plans & produces statistics by using big data, preserves, manages & provides microdata, and coordinates matters related to the establishment and standardization of AI-friendly statistical metadata.

Main Responsibility
- Making a basic plan for the establishment of affiliated special corporations
- Coordinating matters concerning the enactment and amendment of relevant laws and regulations for the establishment of affiliated special corporations
- Managing matters concerning human and physical resources for the establishment of affiliated special corporations
- Succeeding the rights and obligations of the Korea Statistics Promotion Institute and the Korea Statistical Information Institute
- Coordinating responsibilities to be transferred from the Korea Statistics Promotion Institute and the Korea Statistical Information Institute to the affiliated special corporations
- Identifying new business for the affiliated special corporations
- Managing other works deemed necessary for the establishment of affiliated special corporations by the Minister of Data and Statistics
