Purpose
- To measure the production, consumption and transfer by age group and gender of unpaid housework (cleaning, cooking, caring, etc.), which is not covered in national accounts (GDP)
- To comprehensively measure inter-generational resource allocation structure of the entire society by analyzing both National Transfer Accounts as inter-generational economic allocation data at a market value and National Time Transfer Accounts at a non-market value
Survey items
- Total amount of the production, consumption, life cycle deficit and transfer (inter-household transfer and intra-household transfer) of housework, and per-capita figures
- Figures by gender, age group and behavioral classification

History
- 2021~2022: Carried out basic research including the analysis of domestic and overseas survey methodology, and established a development plan
- 2023: Completed the development of National Time Transfer Accounts, and disseminated data as a pilot project
- 2026: Approved the statistical production as official statistics and disseminated data
