□ In the second quarter of 2022, the number of 'Korean native cattle and beef cattle', pigs, layers and ducks recorded a year-on-year increase. Whereas, the number of dairy cattle and broilers recorded a year-on-year decrease. □ The number of 'Korean native cattle and beef cattle' amounted to 3.674 million in the second quarter of 2022. This figure rose by 106 thousand (3.0%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 116 thousand (3.3%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of dairy cattle totaled 389 thousand in the second quarter of 2022. This figure fell by 11 thousand (-2.6%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 8 thousand (-1.9%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of pigs was 11.166 million in the second quarter of 2022. This figure grew by 16 thousand (0.1%) from the same quarter of the previous year, but fell by 3 thousand (0.0%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of layers amounted to 73.073 million in the second quarter of 2022. This figure rose by 7.202 million (10.9%) from the same quarter of the previous year and 2.645 million (3.8%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of broilers totaled 106.254 million in the second quarter of 2022. This figure fell by 3.466 million (-3.2%) from the same quarter of the previous year, but rose by 16.263 million (18.1%) from the previous quarter. □ The number of ducks totaled 9.764 million in the second quarter of 2022.
